Founded in 1963 by Augusto Pigni as a small printing shop, the company has grown over the years thanks to the passion of the founder, his wife, and talented collaborators, transitioning from small printing jobs to packaging production. Initially focused on the local markets of Varese and oriented towards the textile sector, over time, the investments made have led Litocartotecnica Pigni to work on large formats and target its current reference market: the food industry. The company occupies a total area of 18,800 square meters, thanks to the recent construction of a new facility adjacent to the existing one. Currently, it is managed by the founder and his two daughters.
Our know-how allows us to form particularly shaped boxes designed for the festivity market.
Polypropylene or PVC windows are easily applied through our window-machine Rabolini.
With this technique it is possible to obtain peculiar effects for the printed items thus reproducing any texture required by the customer, on big formats as well.
It is possible to print gold by using a rotogravure technique so that it looks brighter and visible on the pack.
The printed item quality is enhanced by applying a coat of either UV glossy, or matt or even matt-glossy look varnish on the same sheet.
This is made possible through the application of some types of varnishing, thus lending the printed item a soft touch.
It is possible to print unusual effects on metalized bases with, thus lending the pack original and refined features.

As proof of the priority placed on achieving increasingly higher professionalism, Litocartotecnica Pigni obtained ISO 9000 quality certification in 1997. In 2002, the company converted its procedures to comply with the new Vision 2000 standard.
At the beginning of 2010, the company also obtained UNI EN ISO 22000:2005 certification from the CSI (Certification & Inspection Services) organization for the design and production of primary and secondary packaging, printed on cardboard, intended for the food industry.
The work carried out over the years is the result of a strategic choice that places product quality and customer satisfaction as primary objectives.
